Blue Baboons
Dear Blue Room Family,
Welcome to the Blue Room! This room is a multi-aged classroom with children from three to five years old. Our daily schedule allows for Literacy, Writing, Math, Science, Art, Sensory and play activities. Lesson plans will be either a week or two weeks long and each activity will be planned according to the lesson’s theme.
The activities planned can sometimes be messy, so we ask that families send their child/ren in “play clothes.” We also ask that you keep a change of weather appropriate clothes at school for your child in their cubbies. Circle time is designed to work on calendar skills, learning about the weather, as well as enhancing the week’s theme through discussion and books.
Between September and May we attend story time at the Mid Continent Public Library next door. During the summer we also participate in their programs appropriate for this age level.
