Northland Early Education Center received a grant from the Home
Builder’s Association of Greater Kansas City late in 1999, which
enabled us to transform an old parking lot into a unique and
inviting new playground. The entire playground is handicap
accessible and consists of many colorful attractions that are
well suited for every age group. The poured rubber flooring,
which imitates a flowing river, grass and a bicycle trail, makes
the playground a delight for the parents and children, alike.
All classrooms are allotted one hour per day on the playground.
The six-foot fence surrounding the playground secures the area
from surrounding streets, woods, and parking lots.
